Clara Nell Yearty Gentry

Mrs. Clara Nell Yearty Gentry, 84, of Temple, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the residence of her daughter. She was born December 2, 1921 in Carroll County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Aaron L. Yearty and the late Mrs. Mattie Ethel Brooks Yearty. Mrs. Gentry was a member of the Villa Rica Church of Christ. She was a mother and homemaker In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Mr. Thomas Garvin “T.G.” Gentry; three grandchildren, James Garvin Smith, James Houston Smith, Jr. and Clara Ann Smith; her brother, Marion Yearty; her sisters, Phoeby E. Yearty Waddell, Mary Jo Ethel Yearty Garner, Erma Belle Yearty, Margarite Yearty, Trixie Yearty, Thelma Yearty and Frances Bishop. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Martha “Ann” and James Smith of Carrollton, Kathy and Doyle Smith of Bremen and Vickie Carol and Donald Armstrong of Carrollton; her sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Garvin “J.T.” Gentry, Jr. and his wife, Jewell Gentry of Villa Rica and Charles Garry and Gail Gentry of Villa Rica; her sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Chett Pointer of Lakeland, Florida; her brother, Tom Yearty of Temple; grandchildren, Pamela Stewart of Villa Rica, Keith and Wendy Gentry of Villa Rica, Kenneth and Chris Gentry of Temple, Karen and Dean Stone of Carrollton, Angie Gentry of Douglasville, Tonya and Bobby Cruey of Douglasville, Avonda and James Ward of Temple, Kimberly Gentry of Villa Rica, Lisa and Terry Jay Phillips of Carrollton, Stacey and Sean Bracknell of Bremen, Jamie Prichard of Temple and Ashley Dewberry of Carrollton; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Villa Rica Church of Christ in Villa Rica, Georgia with Minister Roger Davis and Minister Patrick Gray officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Christus at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica, Georgia.
