Mr. Clarence Blane Miller, 88, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. Mr. Miller was born September 4, 1919 in Fairmount, Georgia; the son of the late Lewis Miller and the late Dawn Ledford Miller. Mr. Miller was a retired carpentry supervisor and was of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include his loving wife of sixty four years, Mildred Thomas Miller; daughters and son in-laws, Sheila and Jack Clement of Villa Rica; Brenda Abney of Douglasville; and Glenda and Bob Kitka of Conyers; son, Kenneth Miller of McDonough; sisters, Ada Miller of Douglasville; and Estelle Mullins of Jasper; brothers and sister in-laws, John and Dot Miller of Douglasville; Claude and Irene Miller of Jasper; and Herbert Miller of Jasper; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Private Family Services were conducted Monday, March 3, 2008 from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville. Entombment followed at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at 225 N.
