Mr. Clarence Russell “Rusty” Floyd, III, age 70, of Villa Rica, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019. He was born July 26, 1949 in Charleston, SC the son of the late Mr. Clarence Russell Floyd, Jr. and the late Mrs. Wlima Reeves Floyd. Rusty was retired from the United States Postal Service. He loved his family, University of Georgia football, Atlanta Braves, and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Floyd. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Floyd of Villa Rica; two sisters, Ellen Doyle of Memphis, TN, Meg and William Glass of Memphis, TN; two nephews, Spencer Glass of Memphis, TN and Perry Brasfield of Memphis, TN; great nephew, Hudson Maxcy of Oxford, MS; step-son, Jessie Braddock of Villa Rica; step-daughter, Amy Braddock and her three children of Statesboro; sisters-in-law, Robin Rogers of Villa Rica, Janice Jarvis of Villa Rica; sister-in-law, Dianne Smith and husband Glenn Smith of Cave Springs; brother-in-law, Randall Rogers and wife Darlene Rogers of Douglasville. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 2:30 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home. In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated.
