Mrs. Clarice Carolyn Clark Burton, age 81, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016. She was born June 29, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri. Mrs. Burton attended Kansas City Community College and then transferred to LSU in California where she majored in business. She was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints. She retired as a Private Duty Nurse in the Healthcare Industry. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her father, Willis Lee Clark; her mother, Gladdis Mae Pleasant Roberts; and sister, Lorraine Pleasant. She is survived by seven daughters and sons-in-law, Jacqueline Williams of Kansas City, MO, Gwinevere and Henry Culberth of Rockmart, GA, Quenette Scott of Arizona, Gaynell Scott of Rockmart, GA, Carmen and James Wellmaker of Marietta, GA, Tonie Scott of California, Marshom Williams of Missouri; six sons and three daughters-in-law, Richard and Renee Scott of California, LaVoy and LaQuanza Scott of Houston, TX, Dwight Johnson of California, Montzail Rawlins, John and Tenika S. Burton of Lithia Springs, GA, Martique Williams of Missouri; sister, Marva Jefferson; brother, Willis Lee Clark of Kansas City, MO; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville.
