Clenton Shackleford

Mr. Clenton Thomas Shackleford, age 88, of Bremen, passed away, October 17, 2017. He was born September 21, 1929 in Thomasville, GA the son of the late Mr. Roy Clenton Shackleford and the late Mrs. Irene Floyd Shackleford. Mr. Shackleford served in the United States Army. He retired from Lockheed after 35 years of service. Mr. Shackleford sang in several gospel quartets and the Lockheed Choir for several years. He was a long time member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Powder Springs, GA. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Shackleford; sister, Sybil Foster.He is survived by his wife, Peggy Sue Shaw Shackleford of Bremen, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, W. T. Morris of Cleveland, GA, Charles and Lynn Morris of Powder Springs, GA, Tommy and Ella Shackleford of Virginia Beach, VA, Tony and Jennifer Shackleford of Carnesville, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Alice and Ray Miller of McDonough, GA, Sherri Bonner of Bremen, GA; brothers, Ralph Shackleford of Bremen, GA, Roscoe Shackleford of Bremen, GA , Scotty and Judy Shackleford of Bremen, GA; sister-in-law, Ruby Shackleford; seven grandchildren, Keri and David Lee, Tim and Keisha Morris, Drew Shackleford, Ashley and Ben Kempe, Tyler Shackleford, Leighann Shackleford, and Tobias Shackleford; three great-grandchildren, Kendall Morris, Tanner Morris, and Heidy Lee; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Powder Springs with Rev. Lamar Rackley officiating.
