Mr. Clifford Alexander Holtzclaw, 70, of Douglasville, passed away Tuesday, October 04, 2005 at his residence. He was born September 16, 1935 in Newnan, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Jessie Eugene Holtzclaw and the late Mrs. Quinnie Villa Holtzclaw. He served in the United States Army and was the owner of C & V Sign Company in Marietta for 35 years. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Holtzclaw is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Smith Holtzclaw; two daughters and son-in-law, Diane and Jeff Hester of Snellville, Becky Holtzclaw of Hiram; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Laura Holtzclaw of Douglasville, Jesse and Christine Holtzclaw of Villa Rica; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Donald O’Neil of Grantville, Runnet and Frank Garner of Newnan, Esther Randolf of Ellijay; one brother and sister-in-law, Virgil and Elaine Holtzclaw of Douglasville; seven grandchildren, Ryan Holtzclaw, Lauren Holtzclaw, Katy Holtzclaw, Matthew Hester, Jake Hester, Travis Holtzclaw and Trevor Holtzclaw; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 2:00 PM from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel with the Pastor Frank Garner and Deacon Tim Whitley officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Douglasville. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 5, 2005 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel.
