Mr. Shelby Clinton Houpe, age 31, of Villa Rica passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024. He was born
January 18, 1993 in Anniston, AL.
Clint was a proud father to his son Jeremy Michael Houpe, whom he adored beyond words. His
dedication to his son was unwavering. Clint’s zest for living life to its fullest was evident in everything he
did. Despite facing personal struggles, he maintained an optimistic and positive outlook that inspired all
those around him. Known for always rooting for the underdog, Clint embodied a spirit of compassion and
empathy that touched the lives of many. While Clint appreciated conventional sports, he had a special
liking for extreme sports that allowed him to push boundaries and test his limits. In addition to his passion
for sports and adventure, Clint will be remembered for his warm heart, infectious laughter, and
unwavering loyalty to those he held dear. His presence brightened the lives of all who had the privilege of
knowing him, and his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of his loved ones.
Clint is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Michael Brian Blackall.
He is survived by his parents, Jeri and Ronald Houpe of Villa Rica and Laura Elizabeth Nixon of
Jacksonville, FL; son, Jeremy Michael Houpe; Clint’s first love and the mother of his child, Grace Gildner;
sister, Summer Blackall ; brother, Michael Ryder; aunt, Robyn Liberty Nixon.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from
2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM.
