Mrs. Connie Jane Driver Land, age 50, Winston, Georgia passed away unexpectedly at her home, Wednesday June 20, 2007. She was born July 7, 1956 in Villa Rica, GA, the daughter of the late Mr. Earl William Driver and the late Mrs. Katie Rush Driver. She was a 1973 Honor Graduate of Temple High School. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister and homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Mr. William R. "Billy" Land. Survivors include her husband, William Barry Land of Winston, two sons, Pvt. Matthew Ross Land of Fort Gordon and William Taylor Land of Winston, sisters and brother-in-laws; Brenda Gray of Villa Rica, and Lynda and Lamar McBurnett of Temple, brothers and sisters-in-law; Joseph Edward (Ed) Driver and Zahara Driver of Armurchee, J. W. (Jim) Driver of Elizabeth City, N.C., Wayne and Helen Driver of Carrollton, Larry and Carolyn Driver of Fayetteville and Jerry Driver of Temple, 23 nieces and nephews, father-in-law and mother-in-law Jackie and Shirley Veitch of Villa Rica, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jackie Ray and Sylvia Veitch, and Jody and Mechelle Veitch all of Villa Rica. Memorial services were conducted Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 2:00PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Marc Limbaugh officiating, Eulogies were by Edward Driver and Pvt. Matthew Land. Lamar McBurnett and Craig McBurnett performed musical selection of Remember When. Honorary pallbearers included: Jackie Ray Veitch, Jody Veitch, Randall Rutledge, Cory McBurnett, Chad McBurnett, Craig McBurnett, and Terry Leatherwood. Interment was in the Matthews Family Lot at Concord Cemetery in Paulding County.
