Constance Jean Trea, age 86, known as a woman with a heart of gold, passed away peacefully at her home on May 30, 2024. She was born on February 28, 1938, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Mr. Fred Goodman and the late Mrs. Evelyn Teague Goodman.
Constance was a caring and family-oriented individual. In her professional life, Constance excelled and eventually retired from telecommunications with Bellsouth. However, it was in her personal life where she truly shone brightest. She cherished the moments spent at the Woodie Fite senior center, socializing with friends and actively engaging in the community. Her presence at Lakeview SDA Church in Powder Springs was felt deeply as she joyfully participated in potlucks and various church activities.
Described as outgoing, loving, friendly, and someone who never met a stranger, Constance's warm personality left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was dedicated to her family, and took immense pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Outside of work and family life, Constance had a passion for travel and visited destinations from her "bucket list." From Alaska to England, she explored diverse places and embraced new experiences at every turn.
Constance's late husband, Marcus H. Trea, served in the military, leaving behind a legacy of honor and service. She is now reunited with him in peace.
Constance is predeceased by her father, Fred Goodman and mother, Evelyn Teague Goodman; brother, James "Jim" Goodman.
She is survived by her son, Tim (Connie) Trea; daughter, Sherri (Douglas) Elsey; grandchildren, Connor Jacob Trea, Marcus Elsey, Lyndsey Elsey, Kayleigh Elsey; great-grandchildren, Jayden Brewer and Samuel "Sammy" Colt Trea; as well as her brother, Phillip Goodman.
