Mrs. Corene Jones Price, born April 21, 1920 in Carroll County, Georgia, met her heavenly father on Tuesday, August 16, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Artie Jones of the Fairplay Community. Deceased five brothers, James Cicero Jones, Grady Jones, Hubert Jones, Lenard H. Jones and Joel Andrew Jones and deceased sister, Minnie Lou Alexander. She was blessed with nieces and nephews. She was the loving wife of the late Kennie (K.W.) Price, with whom she was joined in holy matrimony in the year of the Lord 1938 September 28. Mrs. Price was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a resident of the Fairplay Community for a number of years. Family and friends will miss the lady who loved to sing her gospel songs and praise her Lord with her soft, sweet voice, the touch of her precious sweet hands, and her beautiful, kind smile â a treasure for our hearts to hold forever. Trusting in the Lord always and saying, âIt takes a little darkness for us to see the stars and a whole lifetime to reach them.â Precious pearl to daughter, Kathy P. Hembree of Carrollton. She leaves years of memories and a legacy of love to grandson, J. Kelly Hembree and his wife, Lynn Hembree and great grandson, Jacob Hembree, all of Carrollton. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 18, 2005 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Darrell Strickland and Pastor Tony Mills officiating. Pallbearers will be Greg Gibson, Ronald Camp, Shane Fountain, Paul T. Price, James Hembree and Ed Jones. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Cemetery in Douglasville, Georgia.
