Corinne Kelly Cown

Mrs. Corinne Nellie Kelly Cown, 84, of Temple, Georgia passed away Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Tucker, Georgia. She was born May 30, 1923 in Macon, Georgia; the daughter of the late Silas A. Kelly and the late Corinne Brooks Kelly. Mrs. Cown retired from Georgia Tech as the Executive Assistant for the Biology department, and was a member of the Temple United Methodist Church. Throughout her life and during her illness, she was a true beacon of courage, strength and grace to all who knew and loved her and to whom she embraced in love. Her positive attitude was an encouragement to everyone, even at the end of her days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Brock Cown, and a sister, Marian McWaters. Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, William Newton Jr. and Deborah Morgan of Tucker; nephew, Donald McWaters; three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Friday, July 13, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Temple, Georgia.
