Mrs. Helen Cortez Odom Camp, age 78, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. She was born September 25, 1928 in Sycamore, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Raymond Paul Odom and the late Mrs. Bernice Lee DeFoor Odom. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Douglasville and worked in a clothing store. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Camp. She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Garland W. and Johnnie Odom of Mableton; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, March 11, 2007 at 2:00 PM from Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Douglasville with Pastor Danny Moody officiating. Mrs. Camp will lie in state at the church on Sunday from 1:30 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at Melrose Hills Memorial Park in Villa Rica. The following will serve as pallbearers: Stanley Odom, Brandon Odom, Blake Buffington, Cameron Freeman, Kevin Moody, Joel Peacock, Lou Freeman, and Doug Buffington. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Saturday, March 10, 2007 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
