Craig Anderson Jacobi, 61, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. He was born on July 10, 1964, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Ruth Teal Jacobi and John Edward Jacobi II. He lived a life marked by generosity, kindness and a zest for life.
Craig was a dedicated supporter of University of Georgia sports, a loyalty he carried throughout his life after attending UGA. When he wasn't traveling for work, Craig always found relaxation and joy at the beach, a place where he spent many moments away from the demands of daily life. Known for his generosity, kindness, and laid-back nature, Craig was a person who cared deeply for those who he loved. He made an effort to show appreciation for his loved ones at every turn.
A true athlete at heart, he was a swimmer for UGA during college and he completed two Ironman triathlons, demonstrating a commitment to endurance and fitness. He also enjoyed fine wine, often savoring a glass with friends and family over dinner or conversation.
Craig was always proud of his children, considering his role as a father to his three children among his greatest accomplishments. His laid-back nature made him easily approachable and a joy to be around.
He will be remembered for his steady character and the balance he maintained between his pursuits and personal life. Craig leaves behind a legacy of dedication that will be carried on through his family, loved ones, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James and Chloe Jacobi of Roswell, Georgia; daughters and son-in-law, Madison Jacobi and Colin Abbey of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Olivia Paige Jacobi of Austin, Texas; grandson, Taylor Jacobi of Roswell, Georgia; brothers and sister-in-law, John Jacobi of Honolulu, Hawaii and Jim (Melissa) Jacobi of McKinney, Texas; the mother of his children, Lisa Jacobi of Acworth, Georgia; his loving partner of over 10 years, Melanie Wing, of Powder Springs, Georgia; as well as several nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends who love him and will miss him dearly.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
