Cynthia McMinn

Mrs. Cynthia Higgins McMinn, 83, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, August 19, 2016. She was born September 24, 1932 in Cobb County, Georgia. She graduated from Berry College in Rome with a business degree. She taught school for several years. She was co-owner of Pete McMinn Construction, Inc. She was a member of Lithia Springs First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, William L. “Bill” McMinn, Jr.; brothers, George Higgins, Owen Higgins, Hugh Higgins, and Bob Higgins. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, William “Pete” Luther McMinn, Sr. of Douglasville; sister, Jean Reeves of Cobb County; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Monday, August 22, 2016 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, August 22, 2016 at 2:00 Pm at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta.
