Mr. D. Edward Swann, age 83, of Temple, passed away, Wednesday, February 15, 2017. He was born April 22, 1933 in Haralson County, the son of the late Mr. Eliga Edgar Swann and the late Mrs. Laura Gentry Swann. He owned and operated a security and private Investigator Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, B. F. Swann and Joseph Oscar Swann; sister, Myrtle Brown.He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Wynn Swann of Temple; daughters, Patsy Ann Newberry of Kentucky, Peggy Sue Weygandt of Maryland, Pamela Jane Bowersox of Maryland; son, Michael Edward Swann of South Carolina; sister, Shirley Lane of Hartwell, Anna Joyce Jerral of Rockmart; brothers, Rev. Sebern William Swann of Buchanan, Charles Edgar Swann of Temple; several nieces and nephews also survive.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Ploof officiating.
