Daniel Lamar Phillips

Daniel Lamar Phillips, age 65, of Villa Rica, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. He was born on March 23, 1958, the son of the late Richard Aubrey Phillips and the late Martha Ann Tyson Phillips.

Daniel was a kind man and he would do anything he could to help his family and friends. He had a passion for music that included playing the piano at church, for nursing homes and assisted living residents, participating in The Villa Rica Radio Club activities and he sang and played the piano with the gospel group The Crusaders. He was also an avid bowler and always bowled on Wednesday. 

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, David and Mika Phillips of Ringold, Ga; aunts and uncles, Joseph and Connie Phillips of Douglasville, George Phillips of Florida; several nieces and nephews; several cousins; former wife and special friend, Anita Phy Kennedy of Rickman, Tn.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted from Jones-Wynn Villa Rica Chapel on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Eddie Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton, Ga.
