Daniel Willis

Mr. Daniel Wayne Willis, age 33, of Temple, Georgia passed away Friday, February 15, 2013. He was born February 23, 1979 in Marietta, Georgia the son of Mr. Danny Mike Willis and Mrs. Barbara Ann Lake Willis. He was a 1997 graduate of Douglas County High School. He married Candice Nichole Russell on September 1, 2001 in Carrollton, Georgia. He worked as an engineer for Utility Support Systems, Inc. He was of the Baptist Faith. Daniel was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a devoted baseball coach and an avid baseball fan. He was an Alabama Football fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Candice Nichole Willis of Temple; daughter, his angel Presley Willis; son, his buddy Parker Willis; his parents, Danny Mike Willis and Barbara Ann Willis of Carrollton; sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Jamie Olvey of Villa Rica; grandparents, Mama Lake, Granny Willis, Grandmother and Grandfather Richards; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leslie and Susan Russell of Douglasville; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jennifer Graham, Mike and Natalie Brookshire, and Stewart Graham; nieces, Mackenzie, Chloe, Brooklyn, Addisynn, Anabelle, and Charlee; nephews, Cooper, William, Henry, and Russell; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Midway Macedonia Baptist Church in Carrollton with Pastor Kevin Rivers officiating. Mr. Willis will lie in state at the church from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica. Serving as pallbearers will be his fellow baseball coaches and the team Dads. Honorary escort will be members of Hooks Baseball team. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Daniel Willis Memorial Fund at Douglas County Bank, 6157 Fairburn Road, Douglasville, GA 30134.
