Mr. Darce Douglas Mills, 65, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. He was born March 23, 1942 in Hancock County, TN the son of Mr. Fred Mills and the late Mrs. Ollie Bowlin Mills. He married the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann Shockley on June 14, 1960 in Morristown, TN. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad and was of the Baptist Faith. He was avid animal lover and loved his pets “Gizmo” and “Sissy”. He enjoyed landscaping and cultivating his flowers, yard, and garden. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth Ann Shockley Mills of Lithia Springs; sons and daughters-in-law, John Edward and Melissa Mills of Dallas and James “Jim” and Tonya Mills of Cartersville; his father, Fred Mills of Morristown, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Dean Lawson of Morristown, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lowell and Janice Mills, Wayne and Doris Mills, and Carl and Connie Mills all of Morristown, TN; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 1:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Carlyle officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The following will serve as pallbearers: John Mills, Jim Mills, Michael Mills, Brian Mills, Trey Espy, and Bud Carlyle. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Tuesday, February 5, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
