Nancy Darnelle Robinson Eddings, age 78, of Carrollton, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024. She was born on November 5, 1945, the daughter of the late Charlie Robinson and Esteen Robinson.
Darnelle had a passion for life that was reflected in her various hobbies and interests. She adored her Chihuahuas and found solace in their company. Her love for painting, gardening, and flowers showcased her creative spirit and appreciation for nature's beauty. She worked as a school bus driver for many years. Beyond her professional life, Darnelle had a passion for quilting that brought joy to those around her. She poured her heart into creating beautiful quilts, including ones that were featured at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Her talent and creativity shone brightly through each stitch, leaving a lasting impact on all who admired her work.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Charlie Ray Robinson and her sister, Brenda Teague.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy Eddings; daughter, Sharon Etheridge of Douglasville, and Tywon Smith of New Mexico, grandson, Michael Astin; great-grand-daughter, Emma Astin.
In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated. The family will have a memorial service at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
