Daryl Glenn Roberts

Mr. Daryl Glenn Roberts, age 55, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica. He was born November 25, 1955 in Jesup, Georgia the son of Mrs. Christine Chapman Roberts and the late Mr. Myron Buddy Roberts. He married Audrey Reeves on July 30, 1976 in Jasper, Georgia. He was a devoted member of Pray’s Mill Baptist Church in Douglasville where he was a member of the Berean Sunday School Class and served as a church deacon. He was the owner and operator of Roberts Grading Company, Inc. He was devoted to his family and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Audrey Reeves Roberts of Douglasville; his children and their spouses, Jeremy and Penny Roberts of Winston and Tanya and Cory Priest of Douglasville; his mother, Christine Chapman Roberts of Douglasville; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly Grace Roberts Wilson and her husband, Don Wilson of Bremen; brother and sister-in-law Marty Dale Roberts and his wife, Kathy Roberts of Paulding County; three grandchildren, Brynna Roberts, Ethan Priest, and Braeden Roberts; nieces and nephews, Ryan Roberts, Tiffany Harris, Christi Harrison, Cori Youngman; several great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, April 22, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Pray’s Mill Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Buice officiating. Ric Blazi and Cory Priest will provide eulogies. He will lie in state at the church from 12 Noon until 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
