Daryl Clarence Golden, 60, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025. He was born on September 10, 1965, the son of Larry Clarence Golden and the Etta Janette Gray-Callan.
Daryl dedicated his life to serving Jesus, a calling he embraced with unwavering passion and commitment throughout his years.
Daryl was not only a spiritual leader but also a loving grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his family. His warmth and humor made him a beloved figure among those who knew him. A true jokester and conversationalist, Daryl had the remarkable ability to connect with everyone he met, forming friendships that spanned generations.
An accomplished musician, Daryl's love for music was evident in his participation with "The Goldens," a gospel group that brought joy to many for over 29 years. Daryl's musical talents shone brightly as he played his guitars, sharing his passion for music with others and creating moments of shared joy and connection.
Daryl was an avid supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs, a testament to his enduring spirit and loyalty to his roots. His enthusiasm was contagious, and he proudly cheered on his team. Additionally, he enjoyed participating in cowboy shows at the Pine Mountain Gold Museum in Villa Rica, Ga, where his personality could truly shine through. In his earlier years, Daryl found joy in the great outdoors, often taking time to go hunting, a pursuit that allowed him to appreciate the beauty and tranquility of nature.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife Janice “Jan” Renee Weese-Golden; daughters, Hannah (Dustin) Hunt of Dallas, GA, Nikki (Chuck) Belmore of Buchanan, GA, and Nancy Sanders of Marietta, GA; sons, Sam (Jennifer) Leggett of Temple, GA, T. J. Leggett of Villa Rica, GA, and Neil Golden of Centre, AL; brother, Travis (Deborah) Golden of Bremen, GA; nine grandchildren, Gracie, Gauge, Elijah, Jasper, Lainey, Kameron, Devin, Presley, and Hadley.
A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 3:00 PM from the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel with Pastor Sam Leggette and Pastor David Gresham officiating.
Daryl Golden will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his faith, his love for family, and the joy he spread through music and laughter. His legacy will endure in the hearts of those he touched during his remarkable life.
