Mr. David Gerald Hunter, Sr., 66, of Hwy 78, Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Friday, January 13, 2006 at Regency Hospital in Macon, Georgia. He was born April 30, 1939 in Dekalb County, Alabama the son of the late Mr. Alvin Gerchieu Hunter and the late Mrs. Margaret Morgan Hunter. He was of the Baptist Faith and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and Berlin Crisis. He married Faye Wisner on December 16, 1961 in Rainsville, AL. He was a member of the Battle Hill Lodge #523 F&AM in Lithia Springs. He served as a leader in the Cub Scouts #653 in Lithia Springs. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed gardening and landscaping. He was an Air Conditioner Mechanic for Nabisco, Inc. for over 38 years. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Faye Wisiner Hunter of Villa Rica; two daughters, Cyndi Hunter of Carrollton and Cathy Cheney of Villa Rica; two sons and daughter-in-law, David Gerald Hunter, Jr. of Villa Rica and Kent and Amy Hunter of Bonaire, GA; one sister, Elizabeth King of Rossville, GA; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Barbara Hunter of Mableton, Thomas Hunter of Rossville, and Clifton and Freda Hunter of Tampa, FL; 3 grandchildren, Abbie Farr, Luke Cheney, Landon Hunter; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, January 16, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Walter Green officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica with the following serving as pallbearers: Barry Wisner, Jerry Todd, Tim Todd, Russell Venson, Kenny Lawson, and Chris Pickett. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Sunday, January 15, 2006 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
