Mr. David Adel Irwin, 66, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away April 7, 2016 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born March 5, 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Bayard Macintosh Irwin and the late Mrs. Martha White Irwin. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He was a retired musician who started his career with Paul Puckett Band, then with First National Band and 15 years with Banks and Shane Band. Although, he was retired he still enjoyed playing music and had the ability to play anything with strings. He also was a Real Estate agent having worked for Century 21 in Douglasville. A very considerate man, he enjoyed being social and never met a stranger. He loved to eat and have a good time. He was an avid photographer and loved going to the movies. He enjoyed Do-It-Yourself projects, cars and guitars. He was a dog lover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carmen Hail. He is survived by one son, David âAlexâ Irwin of McDonough; the mother of his son and his best friend, Susie W. Irwin; brother and sister-in-law, Mac and Evelyn Irwin of Portland, OR; sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Brad Lunt of Kingsland, GA; nieces and nephews, Scott Blackwell of Nashville, TN, Holly Hail Linville and her husband, Jason of Nashville, TN, Bayard Irwin III of Tampa, FL, Elaine Irwin Hush and her husband, Mark of Portland, OR, Christy Irwin Girard of Panama City, FL; great-nieces and great-nephews, Christian Blackwell, Taylor Irwin, Jake Hush, Amelia Hush, Lane Hail, and Leah Hail.
