David Howard LaFleur, 79, of Villa Rica passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy built on love, laughter, and an unyielding faith in the Lord. He was born on October 8. 1945, son of the late Howard William LaFleur and the late Margaret Lucy Wolcik LaFleur.

Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His commitment to family was unwavering, and he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He was known for his infectious sense of humor and he enjoyed sharing jokes and stories that brought smiles to many faces. He had an extraordinary ability to find joy in the simplest of moments.

Dave grew up on a dairy farm in upstate New York, milking 150 cows by hand every morning. He loved cows and had a favorite pet cow named Kielbasa. As a young man, he started working construction and eventually became a general contractor, building custom homes and running heavy equipment with expert skill. Dave possessed a drive and resilience. He had an amazing work ethic that inspired everyone he met. He approached every task with determination, whether it was a project at home or tending to his yard. He was a fighter and he never complained or gave up on anything, including fighting a long battle with cancer until his last breath…

Among his many interests, Dave had a special love for sunset cruises on Lake Tara with his wife. His adventurous spirit took him across the globe, exploring the world. He was competitive yet gracious. Dave was unbeatable at shuffleboard, and when it came to arm wrestling, no one could match his strength. These spirited competitions were never just about winning; they doubled as chances for laughter, and memorable moments with those he loved.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Desireé LaFleur (March 4, 2025); brother, Robert LaFleur; grandson, Ryan David Bolognone; great-grand-daughter, Presleigh Ryan.
