David led a life marked by service, craftsmanship, and an unwavering love for his family and friends.

David proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, where he attained the rank of Retired Sergeant. His commitment to duty and country was a testament to his strong character, one that never wavered throughout his life. Following his military service, David transitioned into a successful career in the railroad and construction industry as a general contractor. He was a familiar face at his Church, where he found joy and fulfillment in fellowship. Known for his vibrant personality, he was never one to shy away from reconnecting with a neighbor or making new friends. Those who encountered him would often remark on his genuine warmth and ability to make anyone feel at ease; he truly never met a stranger.

David had a delightful affinity for buffets, relishing a good meal and the company of those around him. He held a special place in his heart for his beloved pig, affectionately known as "Diesel," reflecting his lovable and spirited nature. He was fondly referred to as "Uncle DD" by his nieces and nephews and "PawPaw" by his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. David took immense pride in his family and delighted in sharing his many interests with them.

A passionate collector, David amassed a variety of items, including tractors and cars. His craftsmanship made him incredibly handy, enabling him to bring life and character to everything he touched. Friends and family will remember him not just for his contributions to his community or his remarkable talents, but for the rich legacy of love, laughter, and assistance he generously bestowed upon others.
