David Eugene Smith

David Eugene Smith, age 53, passed away on April 3, 2024. He was born in Marietta, Georgia, on October 3, 1970 to Mr. Harold Eugene Smith and Mrs. Suzanne Cohran.

David's heart of gold was evident in everything he did. He was a selfless individual with a deep commitment to his family and friends. David is described as a dedicated man who spent his life in the construction industry. In his free time, David found solace in his passion for fishing and was an avid fan of the Braves baseball team. Being on the lake and hunting brought him immense joy and peace, reflecting his love for nature and the outdoors. Among his proudest accomplishments was the love he had for his dog Max, whom he cherished like family. David's kindness and compassion extended not only to his beloved pet but also to everyone around him. His caring nature touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

David is survived by his loving wife, Terri Smith; 6 children; 3 grandchildren; father, Harold Eugene Smith; mother, Suzanne (Gary) Cohran; brothers, Scott (Melissa) Smith and Randall (Mindy) Rowan; sister, Stephanie (Walter) Dix; sister-in-law, Pamela and her husband Travis; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his brother, Phynice Rowan.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM with Dr. Keith Stell officiating.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated following the service.
