Dawn Coleman

Mrs. Dawn Ellis Coleman, age 53, of Carrollton, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015. She was born November 7, 1961 in Atlanta the daughter of the late Rev. Johnny Marion Ellis, Jr and Mrs. Edna Jo Summerville Ellis. She worked for Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton as an LPN. Mrs. Coleman loved being a nurse, being able to take care of people. She loved singing in the church choir and was a member of New Beginnings Church of God in Carrollton. She loved her grandson, Ellis most of all. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Hope and Michael Jeter of Carrollton; son, Jonathan Coleman of Carrollton; mother, Edna Jo Summerville Ellis of Douglasville; sisters and brother-in-law, Starry and Steve Wallace of Douglasville, Wanda Helms of Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith and Ronnie Ellis of Dalton, Bart and Cami Ellis of Carrollton; grandson, Ellis Jeter; several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Services will be conducted Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 5:00 PM from New Beginnings Church of God in Carrollton with Rev. Jeff Maxwell officiating.
