Dayton Elry Crawford Sr

Mr. Dayton Elry Crawford, Sr., age 80, of Douglasville, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022. He was born March 15, 1941 in Orlando, FL the son of the late Mr. Dayton Hampton Crawford and the late Mrs. Veola Marshall Crawford. Mr. Crawford worked for Ford Motor Company for many years. Mr. Crawford loved sharing stories and never met a stranger. He enjoyed wood working and bowling, pool and was a champion roller skater. Mr. Crawford was of the Methodist faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by daughter Kimberly Crawford, sister, Saralynn Spires and granddaughter Talor Bennett. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years Kathleen Shevlin Crawford of Douglasville; daughters and sons-in-law Darlene and Doug Oliver of Douglasville, Janice and Kevin Dickson of Powder Springs, Debbie and Leon Fountain of Savannah, Donna Bennett and Cam Klocke of Douglasville; son, Dayton Crawford, Jr. of Douglasville; grandchildren, Lindsey Lord and Ian Potter, Kati and Ryan McClellan, Tifani and Wesley Taylor, Brandon and Kerri Oliver, Erin and Clay Newman, Mary Bennett, Gavin Fountain, Elizabeth Brown, Amber Golsby, Cody Crawford, Matthew Crawford; great-grandchildren, Presley Taylor, Tenley Taylor, Rylee McClellan, Kinslee McClellan, Peyton Oliver. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica with the following serving as pallbearers, Brandon Oliver, Doug Oliver, Cam Klocke, Gavin Fountain, Ryan McClellan, Leon Fountain.
