Dean Joseph Slayton

Mr. Dean Joseph Slayton, age 50, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021. He was born December 10, 1970 in Cartersville, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Marvin Slayton and the late Mrs. Linda Capes Evans. Mr. Slayton enjoyed spending time with family, tinkering with cars, watching car racing on Sunday's, listening to country music and throwing horseshoes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jerry Morgan and his nephew, Allen Emmett Lee. Mr. Slayton is survived by his sister, Angela Morgan of Villa Rica; his brothers, Robert "Anthony" Lively of Villa Rica and Greg Lively of Villa Rica; nieces and nephews, Angie Marie Long, James F. Fuller, Jr., Robert Anthony Lively, Jr., Dianna Michelle Lively and James Daniel Padgett; 5 great nieces and nephews, James David Howard, Amy Nicole Howard, Amelia Noel Long, Ethan, Lee Wyatt Bennett and Haven Michelle Martin; his aunts, Mary Elizabeth Pearson of Villa Rica, Kathy Thompson of Bremen and Brenda Collins of Temple; and his uncles, Ronnie Capes of Villa Rica and Larry Maney of Bremen. Mr. Slayton will be cremated and a family planned memorial service will take place at a later date with inurnment at Melrose Hills Memorial Park.
