Deann Garner

DeAnn Garner, 67, of Temple, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Mrs. Doris Brock Ellerbee Chapman and the late Mr. Ernest Lee Ellerbee.

DeAnn lived a life filled with joy and simple pleasures. She was known as "Mawmaw" to her grandbabies, who were her pride and joy. Some of DeAnn's favorite things to do were take trips to Walt Disney World with her grandchildren, spend time at the beach with loved ones, and love on her precious dogs; Taz and Remi. May her gentle and loving nature be passed on through those who will share memories of her kindness.

She is preceded in death by her father, Mr. Ernest Lee Ellerbee and brother, Albert Dale Townley.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 36 years, Mr. Christopher Wendell Garner; mother, Doris Brock Ellerbee Chapman; daughters and son-in-law, Alicia (Will) Hardy of St. Simons Island, Georgia and Andrea Goss of Douglasville, Georgia; sister, Alicia Chapman of Douglasville, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, James (Lori) Townley of Cedar Bluff, Alabama; grandchildren, Abigail Goss, Doris Mae Goss, Emma Delane Goss, Dre Dustin Goss, Rhett Christopher Lee Brooks, George William Hardy, V, Kaden Rees Hardy, Asher Channing Hardy, and Lakin Alise Hardy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
