Deborah Gillis

Mrs. Deborah Jean Register Gillis, age 66, of Douglasville, Georgia went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 17, 2019. She was born June 1, 1952, the daughter of the late Mr. Harold M. Register and Mrs. Betty Jean Davis Register. She was a member of Foundation Baptist Church.She is survived by her loving husband, Pastor Barry E. Gillis of Douglasville, Georgia; daughters and sons-in-law, Betsy Jean and David Logeman of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Hannah and Daniel Bannister of Elm City, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, Jed and Erica Gillis of Winter Garden, Florida; brother, Reggie Register of Byron, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Amy Jean, Trey, Jenna, Anne, Krista, Judah, Grant, Lydia, and Ellie.A true Proverbs 31 woman, Debbie was characterized by unconditional love for everyone she knew, especially her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a selfless servant of God, faithfully supporting her beloved husband as they ministered together for God’s glory for over 44 years.The family will receive friends at Foundation Baptist Church on Monday, January 21, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Foundation Baptist Church.
