Debra Lynn Adair

Ms. Debra Lynn Adair, 68, passed away peacefully at her home on December 9, 2023. She was born on January 1, 1955, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Mr. Emory Doyal Adair and the late Mrs. Golden Evelyn Hollan.

Debra dedicated herself to serving others as a waitress. She was known for her friendly smile that brightened the days of both colleagues and customers alike. She was a loving woman with a good sense of humor and it was in her relationships with family and friends where she truly shined. Debra took immense pride in raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with unconditional love.

In addition to being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Debra possessed a talent for cultivating beautiful plants. With a green thumb, she strived to nurture a garden that brought beauty to her home and joy to herself. Her passion for flora served as a testament to her nurturing and caring nature. Debra was also known for her love of collecting various items, she found joy in curating these collections. Her treasures were a reflection of her curiosity and appreciation for the small wonders in life.

In addition to her parents, Debra is preceded in death by her brother, Terry Adair; grandchildren, Brian Edward Scott and Brandon Reddish.

Debra is survived by her son, Steven Brian (Shelly) Scott; daughters, Melissa (Chris) Allred and Rachel (Raul) Gonzalez; brothers, Randy (Denise) Adair, Donnie (Jennifer) Adair, Billy (Danielle) Adair; sisters, Pam (Jeff) Roton, Shelly Adair and her husband Benny Justice, grandchildren, Brittany Allred, Russell Church, Preston Allred, Brianna Scott, Ashlee Allred, Nicholas Scott, Chloe Allred; great grandchildren, Le'Veahh Reece, Kaynon Allred, Layken Allred, and Baby Bailee on the way, as well as a host of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 6-8 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville. The memorial service will take place on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 2 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Chapel in Douglasville.
