Delene Kepler

Mrs. Delene Deruelle Kepler, age 59, of Douglasville, passed away, Sunday, August 13, 2017. She was born September 1, 1957 in Bryn Mawr, PA the daughter of the late Mr. Elwood Nelson Deruelle and the late Mrs. Ira Ruth Markham Deruelle. Mrs. Kepler loved teaching, she taught fourth and fifth grade at Arbor Station Elementary in Douglas County for 31 years. She was an Auburn Alumni. Mrs. Kepler loved music and played the guitar. She was a great wife, mom, and “Oma” grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry Deruelle and Danny Deruelle. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Rickey Clair Kepler of Douglasville; daughters and sons-in-law, Elisa and Josh Lailer of Winston, Brittany and Dakota Christmas of Kennesaw, Sara Kepler of Douglasville; son, Rickey Kepler, Jr. of Huntsville, AL; sister, Carol Baugh of Nashville, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken and Peggy Deruelle of Pendergrass, GA, David and Yumiko Deruelle of Miami, FL; grandchildren, Bailey Kepler, Camden Lailer, Lila Kepler, Benett Lailer, Ashlin Knowles, Hailey Shields, Evan Shields, and one expected in February; sister-in-law, Beth Deruelle of Houston, TX; in-laws, Clair Kepler and Marcella Kepler of Huntsville, AL; several nieces and nephews also survive. Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Boggs officiating.
