Delmer Hiram Wolfe, otherwise known as "Shorty" passed away surrounded by family on June 10th , 2022 in Villa Rica, Georgia at 91 years of age. Shorty was born in Surgoinsville, Tennessee, served in the U.S. Army, made a career as a Journeyman Electrician and was commonly known as the neighborhood handyman.
Shorty was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed racoon hunting, fishing, and gardening with a soft-spot for rescuing animals. He was passionate about selling and trading at flea markets but was quick to give most of it away to friends and family. He loved being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Given his gift of a "green thumb", he could grow anything and was notorious for his signature tomatoes. Shorty was self-sufficient, tough, independent but always helping someone with nothing expected in return. His green eyes and big smile would light up any room.
He is survived by his son Eddie Wolfe and wife (Debbie) and daughters ReeseAnn Chase and family and Cheryl Fillers and family, his grandchildren Megan Hart (Peyton) and Kayln Fox (Sam), and his 3 great-grandchildren Beckett, Deakon and Tatum.
The family will celebrate his life privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital Donate to Shriners Hospitals for Children® (lovetotherescue.org)
