Delores Gordon Feis

Delores Gordon Feis, 73, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025. She was born on February 18, 1951, the daughter of the late John Deaton Yearwood and the late Betty Lee Sumlin Yearwood.

Dee also known to everyone as “Mama Dee” was a devoted member of her community and she actively engaged in her children’s sports, finding joy in coaching various teams in Douglas County. She had a strong commitment to her family, with whom she cherished countless moments together. Dee was a two-time cancer survivor—an achievement that showcased her strength and unwavering spirit as a true cancer warrior.

Beyond her devotion to family, Dee had a profound love for gardening. Dee had a love for animals and she dedicated many hours to fostering numerous dogs. Her artistic talents flourished through her hobbies, reflecting her eccentric personality and creative flair. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Ken Yearwood.

She is survived by her husband, Garrett William Feis; children, Dusty (Jacqueline) Gordon of Dallas, Georgia, Drew (Anne) Gordon of Hiram, Georgia; Deena Davis of Douglasville, Georgia; Dylan (Jennifer) Gordon of Cartersville, Georgia; Denver Gordon of Dallas, Georgia; brother, Ronnie (Judy) Yearwood of Dallas, Georgia; sister-in-law, Vickie (widow of Ken Yearwood); grandchildren, Houston (Ezra) Gordon, Max Gordon, Libby Gordon, Rylee Davis, Reece Davis, Sydney Gordon, and Laney Gordon; step-children, Laurri Wallace of Buford, Georgia, Garrett (Shanna) Feis, Jr. of Dallas Georgia; Matthew Feis of Elgin, Illinois and Anna Dunn of Charleston, South Carolina, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Douglas Chapel.
