Dennis Louise Criswell

Dennis Louise Dobbs Criswell, 79, a cherished member of her community and family, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. She was born on December 9, 1945, to the late Oliver Clifford "O.C" Dobbs and the late Annie Tula Martin Dobbs.

A kind and welcoming soul, Dennis lived her life with a faithful heart devoted to the Lord and her church, HighView Church in Villa Rica, GA. Her gentle spirit and loving nature touched the lives of all who knew her. She took pride in her role as a homemaker, creating a warm and nurturing environment for her family.

Dennis had a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She loved to read, travel, and camp, often enjoying a cup of coffee from Starbucks during her leisurely moments. She also delighted in dining at Trading Post, where her love for good food often brought her closer to family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Robbie Criswell, and her grandson, Mitchell Gilley, along with two cherished great-grandchildren. Dennis also leaves behind her brother, A.J. Dobbs, and many nieces and nephews who will remember her with fondness.

In addition to her living family, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Lee Criswell; her sons, Mark Andrew Criswell, Dewayne Criswell, and Randy "Russell" Criswell; her grandson, Preston Lee Summerville; and her siblings: sisters Sybil Herron, Peggy D. Hembree, and Clara Brown, as well as brothers Marvin Dobbs, Don Dobbs, A.C. Dobbs, and Randy Dobbs.

Dennis Louise Criswell will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and her legacy of kindness and love will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
