Dennis Lee ShelnuttMr. Dennis Lee Shelnutt, age 54, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015. He was born May 5, 1961 in Newnan, Georgia the son of Mrs. Elsie Morrow Shelnutt and the late Mr. William Donald Shelnutt, Sr. He followed in his father’s footsteps and worked as a truck driver for CKS. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Riverdale. He was a people person that never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back. He loved being a jokester. He loved family and was especially devoted to his grandson. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping and fishing. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, William D. Shelnutt, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Marsha McGinnis-Shelnutt of Lithia Springs; two daughters, Jessica Renee Shelnutt of Newnan and Denise Elizabeth Shelnutt of Lithia Springs; his mother, Elsie Morrow Shelnutt; brother and sister-in-law, David and Norma Shelnutt of Dallas; one grandson, Mason “My Little Buddy”; several nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Alton Midgett Junior officiating.
