Lithia Springs

Denver Larry Jiles, 72, of Lithia Springs, GA, passed away on August 16, 2025. He was born on June 25, 1953, the son of the late Bernard Denver Jiles and the late Doris Louise Lindsey Jiles.

Larry was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who touched the lives of everyone he encountered and leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication.

Throughout his life, Larry devoted himself to his career as a truck driver at U.S. Foodservice for thirty-nine years, a profession that allowed him to explore roads far and wide while serving his community. Larry contributed his time and energy as a former deacon of Davis Chapel Baptist Church. He was a member of County Line Baptist Church, where his faith and commitment to his church community helped shape his strong character and compassionate nature.

Larry's warm personality and loving spirit were evident in everything he did. He cherished family gatherings and dinners, understanding the importance of family bonds and creating memories that would last a lifetime. He embraced the role of a father and grandfather wholeheartedly, always putting his family first and demonstrating a unique ability to move mountains for their well-being. His kindness and willingness to help others were hallmarks of his character.

An enthusiastic fan of speed, Larry found excitement in NASCAR and relished the thrill of Saturday night dirt track racing. These passions reflected his zest for life and need for adventure, qualities that endeared him to many.

As we remember Larry, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with love, faith, kindness, and the joy that comes from being a part of a family. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Parks Jiles; and his brothers, Kenneth Jiles and Greg Jiles.

He is survived by his son, Jonathan Jiles of Lithia Springs, GA; and sisters, Edith Garrett of Southport, FL, Regina Garrett of Acworth, GA, and Judy Garrett of Lithia Springs, GA; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
