Mr. Denver Joe Jordan, 65, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, December 18, 2006 at Atlanta Medical Center. He was born May 19, 1941 in Barboursville, West Virginia the son of the late Mr. Leonard Jordan and the late Mrs. Stella Harless Jordan. He married Rebecca Ann Lusher on May 19, 1964 in Gadsden, AL. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and he was of the Holiness Faith. He retired as a police officer from the East Point Police Department following 26 years of dedicated service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Jordan; son, Dennis Jordan; sisters, Juanita Atkins and Artie Darby and brothers, Leonard Jordan, John Jordan, and Bobby Jordan. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Ann Lusher Jordan of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Robert Key of Douglasville; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Judy Jordan of Oxford; brother-in-law, Harold Darby of Iowa; 5 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and chosen daughter-in-law, Cyndie Stafford. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 1:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Arnold officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs with members of the East Point Police Department serving as pallbearers.
