Dillard W. Hill was born on September 2, 1954 to the late John A. Hill and Sarah R. Hill in Java Virginia. He was the youngest son of six children from this union. At a young age Dillard moved with his family to New York City. Dillard became known to a host of friends on the Upper West Side. Dillard had many talents, gifts, and abilities. He worked as an accountant, electronic technician for many years. He had a passion for art and he was a great artist. He also enjoyed listening to music, loved to dance. He enjoyed traveling. He enjoyed watching sports. He was a flashy dresser, kept manicured nails. Dillard enjoyed being with his family and friends. He attended birthday parties and holiday gatherings with his children , family. Dillard appreciated the simple things in life like taking walks in the park. Cooking for his family. Dillard had a good sense of humor. He loved to eat, drank plenty of milk. He loved chocolate. He leaves to cherish his memories, his son Dillard S. Hill, daughters Rachel M. Hill, Danille A. Mckinnon. Two brothers Alfred Hill. John Hill. Two sisters Mary Hill and Kimberly Rogers. A host of many nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends. Even though we are saddened by our loss, Dillard will live forever in our hearts. We will always treasure our memories and his legacy of love. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 12 Noon from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville.
