Don Brown

Mr. Don Chester Brown, 87, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 at his residence. He was born August 21, 1929 in Sweetwater, Tennessee the son of the late Mr. Harrison Brown and the late Mrs. Dora Belle Phiffer Brown. He married Gloria Jean Hunnicutt on April 26, 1968 in Riverdale. He was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a District Manager at Avery Dennison for 40 years. He was devoted to the Lord and loved ministering to other people. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Millard Brown and Rev. Kellar Brown; and a sister, Loraine Oran. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gloria Jean Hunnicutt Brown of Villa Rica; one daughter, Toni K. Smith of Winston; one grandchild, Sara J. Smith; several nieces and nephews. The family plans to meet at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 to process to the cemetery. Graveside Services will be conducted Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Pastor Grady Morris officiating. The family has requested casual attire for those in attendance. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with military honors rendered by members of the United States Marine Corp Honor Guard.
