Donald Butler

Mr. Donald “Don” Ferguson Butler, age 85, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014. He was born October 29, 1928 in Oklahoma the son of the late Mr. Dee Butler and the late Mrs. Betsy Harkins Butler. He retired as a maintenance technician for Ashland Oil Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Betty Jo Ferguson Butler and brother, Lewis Butler. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Guy and Karen Butler of Carrollton, Jimmy and Betty Butler of Winston, and Melvin and Linda Butler of Douglasville; grandchildren, Carmen and Brandon Taff of Winston, Donald James Butler of Villa Rica, Jason and Stephanie Butler of Carrollton, Christopher and Kim Betts of Carrollton, and Brittany Harper of Temple; nine great-grandchildren, Raina Chaulky of Carrollton, Gabby Thompson of Carrollton, Mya Butler of Carrollton, Makayla Betts of North Carolina, Caydence Betts of Carrollton, Chloe Betts of Carrollton, C.J. Griffin of Carrollton, Haley Griffin, and Cameron Griffin of Carrollton. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Pastor Barry Golden officiating.
