Donald Hallock

Mr. Donald Everett Hallock, 83, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Benton House in Douglasville. He was born December 2, 1932 in Morristown, New Jersey the son of the late Dr. Everett F. Hallock and the late Mrs. Catherine Porter Hallock. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Korean Conflict. He retired from the banking industry having worked as a Financial Controller for Savings and Loans of Lake Wales, FL. He was a loving and supportive father and received great joy from his children’s accomplishments. He was an avid sports enthusiast whom enjoyed playing golf and was a loyal fan of the San Francisco Giants. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Barbara Powers Hallock on October 16, 2015; and his son, Glenn Hallock. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lynn Hallock Prescott and her husband, Jason of Douglasville; two grandchildren, Danielle Prescott Garriott and her husband, Carson of Atlanta and Jamie Prescott of Milledgeville. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Thursday, April 18, 2016 at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Ken Stephens officiating.
