Donald David Hand, Jr.

Mr. Donald David Hand, Jr., age 65, of Marietta, GA passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023. He was born May 28, 1958 in Bath, NY to the late Mr. Donald David Hand and the late Mrs. Margaret Barrett Hand. Donald was deeply passionate about computers, dedicating countless hours to exploring their inner workings and staying up-to-date on the latest technological advancements.  He possessed an innate ability to comprehend complex systems and turned this passion into a successful career in the field. Beyond his professional pursuits, Donald demonstrated a profound interest in family ancestry.  Donald's commitment to preserving his family's history will be remembered by all who benefited from his research and documentation. Running was not just a physical activity for Donald it was one of his favorite pastimes, including running in the Peachtree Road Race.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Marcia M. Hand.

He is survived by his sisters, Mary Fran (Edwin) Dawson of Douglasville, GA; Nancy (Gary) Wood of Derby, KS; brother, Lewis (Deborah) Hand of Heathsville, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

According to Mr. Hand's wishes, he was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
