Mr. Donald âDonâ Ray Todd, Sr., age 78, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, July 22, 2013. He was born August 4, 1934 in Austell, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Joseph Todd and the late Mrs. Annie Maude Boyd Todd. He served in the United States Air Force. He retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He was an avid golfer who made several holes in one. Mr. Todd was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Pritchett Todd; son, Ronald Lee Todd; sisters, Shirley Clark and Melba Davison; and brothers, Quinton Todd and Willard Todd. He is survived by his wife, Meredith âRitaâ Tant Todd; daughter and son-in-law, Joni and Greg Rigby of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law, Donald Ray II and Deidra Todd of Douglasville; three stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Tim Sweatman of Lithia Springs, Linda and Steve Nieznany of Lithia Springs, and Cynthia and Kent Quinn of Whitesburg; four grandchildren, Chris Rigby of Douglasville, Kristin Rigby of Carrollton, Brittany and Kevin Cox of Douglasville, and Joshua Todd of Douglasville; adopted grandson, Joey Todd of Lake Worth, FL; five stepgrandchildren, Joshua and Mara Quinn of Whitesburg, Jordan Quinn of Douglasville, Brandon Nieznany of Lithia Springs, Victoria Sweatman of Lithia Springs, Alexander Sweatman of Lithia Springs; four great-grandchildren, Katie Cox, Colton Rigby, Peyton Quinn, and Natilee Hopper; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel, Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Beulah Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne Bray officiating. Musical selections will be provided by Sandra McKown and Terry Pearman. The following will serve as pallbearers: Chris Rigby, Josh Todd, Brandon Nieznany, Jordan Quinn, Alexander Sweatman, and Joey Todd. Honorary pallbearers will be his Golfing Buddies. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Todd may be made to Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund.
