Donald James “Jamie” Williford Jr., 51, of Douglasville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. He was born on August 20, 1974, the son of Donald “Donny” James Williford Sr. and late Janet Hornbuckle Wiesner.

Jamie’s academic achievements were impressive; he earned a Bachelor of Finance degree from the University of Georgia, where he distinguished himself on the Dean’s List. His education was the foundation for a successful career in the finance industry, where he worked with integrity and dedication.

Beyond his professional life, Jamie was cherished for his amazing personality—warm, engaging, and full of life. He treasured the moments spent playing with his nieces and nephews, bringing joy and laughter into family gatherings. His spirited affection was apparent to all who knew him.

Jamie had a passion for adventure and an active lifestyle. He loved cycling, exploring the scenic landscapes of Ireland on his bicycle, and was equally enthusiastic about snow skiing. His commitment to activity extended to his involvement in his church community, where he was a devoted and active member.

In addition to his father and step-mother Connie Wimberly, Jamie is survived by his children Whitney Williford and Ruthie Williford of Richmond, VA; sister Jennifer Karen Goodman (Mark) of Dallas, GA; step-sisters Tammy Mullens (Kevin) of Enoree, SC, Abigail Bartlett (Bruce) of Marietta, GA; nephews, Cameron Goodman, Brady Mullens, Blake Bartlett, Bret Bartlett; nieces, Skyler Council, Makensie Mullens, Lindsey Goodman; great-niece Ari Council.

His impact reached far beyond his professional and recreational pursuits. Jamie touched many lives and was a friend to many, known for his kindness, generosity, and the genuine connections he cultivated.
