Mr. Donald Horace Wilson, 70, of Carrollton, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born on June 24, 1955, in Carrollton, Ga, the son of the late Horace Nathan Wilson and Willa Dean Barrow Wilson.

Don is survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Denise and Rickey Bice and Janet and Kevin Kersey; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Sherry Wilson; beloved nieces and nephews, Nathan Bice, Seth Bice, Leah Bice Brothers, Phillip Wilson, Kelly Wilson Smith, Ryan Wilson, Jeffery Wilson, Alix Kersey Fincher, Aimee Kersey, Anna Kersey and Ben Kersey; several great nephews and nieces.

Donald grew up in Carrollton, GA and was a 1973 graduate of Carrollton High School, where he played football under Coach Grisham, winning the 1972 State Championship. After high school, Donald graduated from the West Georgia College earning a master’s degree and he worked several years at Rosser White in Atlanta. However, his greatest joy was his career change into teaching. He taught at Youth Christian School, Sewell Middle School, Bremen Middle School and Bremen High School, all in the Bremen City Schools System. He retired from teaching after thirty plus years. His greatest passion was serving Jesus and teaching students.

He was a true follower of Christ and loved to teach the Bible and to sing. He was saved at a young age and grew up at the Fullerville Baptist Church in Villa Rica, Cornerstone Baptist, then Midway Church and lastly at Shady Grove Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and served as a Deacon.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 1293 Sandhill Shady Grove Rd, Carrollton, with funeral services at 4:00 PM with Pastor Mike Harris and Pastor Rickey Bice officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Kersey officiating.

Despite many years of health issues his commitment to Christ was strong. Donald will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
