Donna Starnes

Mrs. Donna Lou Starnes of Mobile, Alabama passed away in her sleep Friday, August 19, 2016. She was born on March 16, 1933 and grew up in Blairsville, Georgia with her many siblings. She was the baby of Robert and Verdie Garrett. Donna was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed sewing and loved to bake. Her faith was very important to her and she had a very loving and generous spirit. In addition to her parents, Verdie Garrett and Donald Garrett she was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Starnes and her beloved son Roy Richard Rosser. She is survived by her daughter Angela Eubanks and her husband Clyde, her granddaughter Anitra Smith and her husband Brian, her great grandchildren, Will and Anna Smith, all of Mobile, Alabama, her grandson Charles Rosser serving in the US Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and her sister Nora Rogers of Dalton, Georgia. Memorial Services will be held at The Lighthouse Church, 573 Highway 78 West, Tallapoosa, Georgia, 30176 at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2016. In lieu of flowers, those desiring to make a memorial contribution are urged to donate to her church, The Lighthouse, Hwy 78 West, Tallapoosa, Georgia, 30176. This would have been Donna’s desire.
