Dora Katherine "Kathy" Wheeling Dobson

Kathy Dobson, age 61, of Carrollton, Georgia, who passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019. She was born June 26, 1958 in Marietta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Fred Wheeling and the late Mrs. Geraldine King Wheeling. Ms. Dobson loved everybody – her church, her family and especially her grandchildren. "It is well with my soul." In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Remer Wheeling and Jack Wheeling. Ms. Dobson is survived by her children, Randall Dobson of Carrollton, Kristal Dobson of Roopville and Paige Danbury of Carrollton; her sisters and brother-in-law, Margaret Poore of Palmetto, Linda and David Camp of Fayetteville and Martha Matthews, also of Fayetteville; her brother, Jerry Wheeling of Samatra, Florida; four grandchildren, Mary, Abigail Geraldine, Wesley and Jamisen; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM. Ms. Dobson will lie in state prior to the funeral service, Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 10:00AM until 12:00Noon at Fairhaven Baptist Church, Cooper Street, Douglasville, Georgia. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 12:00Noon at Fairhaven Baptist Church with Pastors James Biddy, Tommy Freeman and Randy Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, Georgia.
