Mrs. Doris Fielder Bailey Batchelor, 83, of Carrollton-Villa Rica Highway, Carrollton, Georgia passed away Monday, January 2, 2006 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia. She was born February 26, 1922, in Bleckley County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late George Conway Fielder and the late Annie Lee Shirley Fielder Bollman. Mrs. Batchelor was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Batchelor was preceded in death by first husband, Lawton Alfred Briley; her son, James Lawton Briley; her brothers, James Ernest Fielder, George Robert Fielder and Wallace Fielder; and her second husband, Oliver Thomas Batchelor. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanie Briley and John Eakins of Gray; step-daughters and step son-in-law, Debbie and David McKay of Jacksonville and Penny Batchelor of Jacksonville; step-son and step daughter-in-law, Tony and Lancie Batchelor of Jacksonville; her sisters, Patricia F. Powell of Marietta and Sandra Elizabeth Fielder of Moultrie; her brother and sister-in-law, William R. and Jeannette Fielder of Hiram; her sister-in-law, Beatrice Cheek Fielder of Moultrie; 2 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 2:00 PM from Forsyth City Cemetery in Forsyth, Georgia with Minister Marcus Fielder officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth City Cemetery in Forsyth, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Thursday, January 5, 2006 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
